Pan Fried Tofu
1 lb. firm/x-tra firm tofu
1/3 c. nutritional yeast flakes
3 Tbsp. adobo/salt & pepper (and garlic powder if you like)
1-2 tsp. curry powder
2 tsp. dry dill
Soy sauce/Tamari

1)Slice tofu into 1/2 inch to 1/3 in slices you should end up with rectangles
2)Mix together yeast, adobo, curry, and dill and pour onto a large plate, this will be your coating
3)You can boil the tofu if you want, it slightly affects the taste but it makes the texture more chewy, the same effect you get from pressing it
4)Heat up some oil in a non-stick pan over med-high heat
5)Coat tofu slices in the mixture and fry until golden on both sides (about 3 minutes per side)
6)Sprinkle with tamari before they cool
7)Enjoy with rice or pasta or mashed potatoes. Excellent the next day cold on a sandwich or in salad!
